Molymet visited Clínica Familia

In the context of World hospice Palliative Care Day, which was celebrated on October 14, our collaborators visited Clínica Familia, a non-profit foundation that assists terminally ill patients such as cancer and other pathologies, where they were able to share with patients, their families and tour the facilities.

At Molymet we have created an important bond with Clínica Familia, an organization that seeks to improve the quality of life of people with advanced illnesses, by helping to alleviate the physical, emotional, social and spiritual suffering of those who for some reason cannot be cared for in their home. home.

“We are proud to be part of this corporate volunteering and share with our collaborators the deep commitment and noble work they carry out as a Foundation. Having this opportunity fills us with pride and drives us to continue generating instances that allow us to expand our purpose and share the same conviction of being agents of transformation for the well-being of people, thus creating value for a more humane and evolved society.” , said our CEO, John Graell.

In Chile, around 125,000 people a year need palliative care, with more than half requiring care before their last year of life. Added to this is that 70% of patients treated in palliative care units die at home, and according to figures from the Catholic University, 100% of non-oncological patients must cover 100% of the expenses.
