Molymet Germany (formerly known as Chemiemetall) is located in Bitterfeld. The production facility was acquired by Molymet in 2001. It has a plant with an annual production capacity of 1,700 tons of molybdenum metal powder, as well as laboratories and other supporting facilities.

In 2018, Molymet Germany started building a new molybdenum production line which represents an increase in the plant’s capacity to produce products with a higher value added.
