Molymet achieved an important milestone by being positioned within the Top 5% of the most sustainable companies in the Metals & Mining industry, thus consolidating its progress in environmental, social and corporate governance matters.
The recognition is granted by S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), a tool used to determine the positioning of companies within the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which evaluates the commitment of companies to their stakeholders and the well-being of the planet.
Molymet voluntarily participated in this annual evaluation, which focuses on industry-specific and financially relevant criteria, allowing it to compare its sustainable practices with other entities, and thereby improve in line with the highest global standards.
“It is a recognition that represents the company’s conviction to add value to our stakeholders. We believe that sustainability and concern for our environment go completely hand in hand with our business model. These certifications are an extra motivation to continue improving day by day,” said Edgar Pape, CEO of Molymet.
The certification reinforces Molymet’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, and its sustainable progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing water reuse and implementing renewable energy.
