Legal and regulatory compliance is one of our main ongoing concerns, and is monitored at each of our operations.

Customer Compliance
As the company does not interact with consumers as defined in Law 19.496, it does not have any related compliance procedures. Accordingly, it has received no penalties for non-compliance with consumer regulations.
Employee Compliance
Each industrial unit has a human resources area, supported by a legal team, that is primarily concerned with ensuring compliance with labor regulations. The internal audit unit conducts ongoing assurance procedures to determine the status of compliance with labor regulations in order to detect and prevent any violations. In 2021, Molymet has not been party to any labor charges.

Environmental Compliance
Each industrial unit has a sustainability area, supported by a legal team, that is primarily concerned with ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The unit may do so either directly or by hiring environmental auditors.
The environmental compliance model outlines all environmental commitments and obligations, along with deadlines, frequencies and compliance verification in a matrix available online on a digital platform. This matrix helps the company verify compliance status, identify potential gaps and generate warnings and action plans in order to meet its diverse obligations in a timely manner. That digital platform can be accessed directly by the internal audit area to review correct compliance of environmental obligations and commitments.
Molymet has not received any penalties or fines from the Environmental Superintendent and has no related compliance programs.
In 2016 an environmental reparation plan was submitted and approved for property containing a waste dump known as “Lo Adasme Dump.” The company satisfactorily complied with the obligation to remove ferro molybdenum slag and other household waste from the property. To date, other activities not included in the respective environmental reparation plan are pending, prior to completion of those tasks.
Free Competition
One of the guiding principles of the organization’s norms of conduct is to respect free competition. In order to achieve this objective, in 2021 the company conducted a refresher course on free competition for its commercial team in order to safeguard regulatory compliance in the different jurisdictions where it does business. The company has not received any penalties in this area.

Molymet has a Crime Prevention Model that adheres to Law No. 20.393, which is certified by an external company. The company has not received any penalties in this area.
